●だるま市
２月１１日は当市恒例のだるま市。
折からの不景気風を吹き飛ばそうと、縁起物を求めて大勢の人々が「だるま」を買い求めていました。
だるまの眉は鶴、ひげは亀、口の下に竹、顔の両方に梅と松を配し
「鶴亀」「松竹梅」が描かれているため福を呼ぶ縁起物として人気があります。
また、だるまの絵付けはかの有名な画家「谷文晃」が時の城主「松平定信」に命じられて、
絵付けしたそうです。
大勢の人混みの中に入るのも訓練の一つ。
人々の邪魔にならない程度に、だるま市を楽しんできました。
OESは元来人が大好き、
宇宙はそれ以上に人が大好き、行き交う人に愛撫され大満足でした。

私が子供の頃は旧歴１月１４日に行われていたんですが、昭和３８年頃から２月１１日に行われるようになったようです。
子供の頃学校が２時間くらいで終わり、縁日に出かけるのがとっても楽しみでした。
宇宙は先代ラブ以上に人が大好きで、人の姿を見るともうジッとしていられません。
チョット言葉をかけてもらうと、もう、ダッシュダッシュでその人めがけて駆け寄り、お座りして愛撫されるのを待っています。
